Toyota Kijang Innova’s move to become the best-selling car in Indonesia

Kijang Innova will be the best-selling car throughout 2023. What’s the secret?

The Toyota Kijang Innova displaces the Honda Brio at the top of the list of best-selling cars in Indonesia. Innova sales are based on wholesale data released by the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo).

Meanwhile, the Innova Reborn still uses the IMV platform like the Fortuner and Hilux. The use of a new platform makes the car more rigid and reduces noise in the cabin. The car’s weight has now been reduced to 170 kg.

Innova Zenix also carries the M20A-FKS Dynamic Force engine which is claimed to offer optimal acceleration while consuming more economical fuel. Meanwhile, the hybrid version is equipped with an M20A-FXS engine combined with a compact electric motor. This engine is paired with a K120 CVT transmission which adopts a 10-speed Sequential Shiftmatic mode.

Total sales of 5,063 units is a fantastic and historic figure for the BMW Group Indonesia and the Indonesian automotive industry, ” said Ramesh in his official statement on Wednesday (17/1/23).

“For the first time, a premium vehicle manufacturer in Indonesia has exceeded sales of 5,000 units. This success shows that the BMW and MINI brands, both vehicles and the BMW Group’s range of premium services, have succeeded in meeting the growing needs of customers. Wuling BinguoEV Cheapest Variant Launched in RI, This is the Price

After Long Range AC/DC and Premium Range AC/DC, Wuling Motors Indonesia officially launched the Wuling BinguoEV Long Range AC in Indonesia, Saturday (13/1). This vehicle is the cheapest variant of the BinguoEV family sold domestically.

Dian Asmahani as Marketing & Sales Director of Wuling Motors Indonesia hopes that the emergence of the Long Range AC variant will further complement the choice of Wuling BinguoEV in Indonesia.

“In order to provide electric vehicle choices that suit consumer needs, especially in terms of urban mobility, we are also presenting the BinguoEV Long Range AC. This variant is also supported by a premium driving experience and a series of modern features and an iconic appearance,” said Dian in her official statement, Saturday (13/1).

“With the presence of this variant, the BinguoEV choices that consumers can choose will be more complete according to their daily mobility needs as well as becoming an icon in contributing to a greener environment,” he added.

Overall, Wuling BinguoEV Long Range AC is the same as Long Range AC/DC. However, in this variant, the manufacturer has eliminated DC technology which allows the charging process to be faster (fast charging).

Wuling BinguoEV Long Range AC uses an IP67 certified Lithium Ferro Phosphate battery with a capacity of 31.9 kWh which can cover a distance of 333 km. Meanwhile, the electric motor has a maximum power of 50 kW and a torque of 150 Nm and 4 driving modes that can be selected, namely ECO, ECO+, Sport and Normal.

Wuling Launched  The New Model

In terms of dimensions, the Wuling BinguoEV is larger than the Air EV. This car has dimensions of 3,950 mm in length, 1,708 mm in width and 1,580 mm in height. Apart from that, BinguoEV has 15 inch rims wrapped in 185/60 rubber.

Regarding safety features, there are two airbags in the front row. Then, the braking is also equipped with an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD). The braking is also electric and equipped with Automatic Vehicle Hold.

Wuling BinguoEV Long Range AC is priced at IDR 317 million with status on the road in Jakarta. This nominal value includes tax incentives from the government.
